I’m changing my email addresses around for a number of reasons. Partly to save money, partly to have email addresses which are easier to communicate (my website domain name is not brilliant for that). Partly also as my current email setup involves email forwarding and that can cause emails to take a while to arrive.
I first tried getting a new domain then using a free Cloudflare account to redirect emails to a free Outlook address. This worked to an extent, thanks to Cloudflare for providing a free forwarding service, but a lot of emails didn’t get through. The issue seemed to be Outlook throttling back on too many emails coming from Cloudflare.
You only get what you pay for. So I’ve paid up for a mailbox with Hostinger and using their system of email aliases to hide the real mailbox address. So far this has worked well.
