There's a glass kettle here. So much more involving watching the water bubble and trouble as it approaches boiling point, rather than just listening with the typical kettle. Reminds me of an old-fashioned coffee percolator my parents had half a century ago - I used to watch entranced as coffee spurted against its glass lid.
We had toasted sandwiches at The Sound Cafe which has a great view over the Calf of Man. A very nicely situated place, an unspoilt 180 degree view out. After returning to Shee Dy Vea I found I hadn't lost my scarf after all, shame - I need to think of another item for my birthday list.
The Bradda Glen Restaurant fed us for our last evening meal of this holiday. The other side of the bay from Shee Dy Vea, it did have good views across the bay. It also had a long long single track access road to it, we were holding our breaths as we traversed it. Got rid of the Manx £1 notes as tip here.
