We went to Thorp Perrow this morning, timing our visit badly as the flying displays of raptors were in the afternoon. Plenty of trees it being an arboretum, got confused walking around as to where we were, but calming just being there and plenty of benches to sit on. We found our way to where there were owls and hawks and meerkats and wallabies to be seen. A big area and we didn't see all of it. We had something to eat in the cafe by the entrance. I was wearing trainers but walking through the wet grass my feet got damp so I may get new waterproof trainers for my Mexico trip.

On the way back to Bellerby we stopped again at Inspired Chocolate where we got a few chocolates and Ceramic Inspirations where Virginia got some coaster efforts in lieu of entrance money.

Evening meal not so good - in the rain we discovered places in Leyburn didn't serve until 6pm and several were closed Monday as well. Tried the Queens Head again but that was closed. Tennants was closed. So in the end we got ready meals from the Co-op and played Boggle!
