The day's started with solid rain - the weather app on my iPhone has been very inaccurate as regards precipitation here. Perhaps weather forecasts are still a black art in North Yorkshire? There's a black cat roaming around Brooklands perhaps we ought to ask that instead. The owners tell us this cat is prone to sneaking into cars and even got taken away by some previous people who rented the cottage we're in.
On our way to Hawes we dropped in on the witchy White Rose Candles shop. Hidden away like a witch's cottage at the bottom of a forest path, therein a candle maker worked her magic. I like seeing how things are done as much as the colourful candles on the shelves.

We then visited the Wensleydale Creamery again, sampling some cheeses (no gingerbread cheese this time which was a pity). We had a bite for lunch in their restaurant then saw a demonstration of cheese making and a view into the factory where cheese is processed on an industrial scale.

Gave up trying to get the key into the key safe before we set off for our final holiday meal at the Saddle Rooms by the Forbidden Corner. A civilised place to eat, though the burgers we had cost more than a more for two at Brewers Fayre! You pay for style like the bill being presented in a book that could have come from a library in a haunted house.
