We went again to the Thursford Christmas Spectacular. Google Maps this time took us round south of Ely which was worrying at first - perhaps a few minutes quicker than previous journeys.

The show itself was pretty much as before - I’m amazed how well the guy playing the Wurzlitzer keeps going! And amazing how well he plays! They do intelligently vary the songs and performances. We had a quartet armed with skipping ropes who were stylishly skilful. To our surprise we even bumped into Barbara someone we knew!

We sat over on the left hand size and I had a view of St Johns Ambulance dealing with one poor lady who had a turn - shame she and those she came with would have missed the show. I also saw the stewards dealing with those wanderers unable to stay in their seats.

The illuminations seemed bigger and better than last time we went. However the doves which had always closed the show before must have all flown the coop. Virginia was very thorough in taking videos of it all!
