A very smooth arrival in New Zealand! I was able just to walk through passport control, the automatic passport ready just accepted mine and the face scanner recognised me! I declared my packet of polos as I went through customs, the dog sniffed me probably thinking I should be rejected.
And for once my bag was on the carousel when I went to see in Baggage Reclaim! Bruce arrived at the exit just as I messaged Vicky to say I had beaten him there!
Vicky and Bruce have a very nice house, conveniently located in central Auckland. I dozed off in the afternoon after lunch of bread and cheese, didn't wake up until after 5pm NZ time when Vicky was back. Vicky cooked lasagne and then took me on a tour of Auckland to reconnoitre where I need to go for the next two days' adventures. We had a welcome ice cream at a gelato place at the Waterfront. Then an arduous traipse back after finding the bus station near the SkyCity.
