Hotel Fukinomori

Arrived at Hotel Fukinomori in the darkness the shuttle from Nagiso Station having worked fine. Very pleasant helpful staff, Hotel Fukinomori is a cross between a hotel and a ryokan. It has an onsen (Japanese spa), guests have private dining areas as well as rooms, kimonos are provided but not compulsory. All sliding wood panels and wooden floors.

The evening meal was a Kaiseki affair, a lot of small courses, my stomach wasn’t sure about some of the offerings. I had shochu and that may have helped me sleep well.
