We voyaged out to Wisley RHS a vast site belonging to the Royal Horticultural Society. A lot to see there which we managed before the rains arrived.
There is a large stylish greenhouse with a waterfall and corridor of orchids, and cacti standing tall in a drier section. There are formal gardens by what could have been a stately home. There is a pinetum and a riverside walk and an alpine rockery. Many paths able to absorb a good number of visitors and it didn’t feel crowded though there was a good number of cars. Sadly no concessions for OAPs like me!
In the evening we had a good Chinese meal at the Lucky Star in Farnham. Wonderfully stylish inside, belying our prejudices from how it looked outside!
