Layouts

The @style directive sets how an article is rendered, particularly how any indexes to other articles appear.

The available styles are:

Layout Description Example
base Default style index sorted alphabetically (or numerically if filenames start with numbers). Images and titles displayed for each index entry Science Fiction
blog Index for child pages displayed in a blog style Iceland
dated_events Like Events but year prepended to index titles  
document Text only indexes Online resources
events Like Base but index sorted by date  
hidden Page hidden from site menu structure 404
menu Like Base but index displayed as a grid of rectangles Books
news Like Blog but most recent N dated articles beneath page parent displayed in descending date News
no_index Suppress index appearing on page Go teaching
reverse_dated_events Like DatedEvents but in reverse date order Cakes
section A series of articles with navigation arrows displayed as a blog  
story A series of articles with navigation arrows, used implicitly where an article has content and children but no grandchildren Australia 2002
year Like Events but the page title is expected to be a year and a check is made that the child pages are dated in that year 2001
