A little drama to start the day - we couldn’t open the front door of Morfa Lodge to get going! Perhaps we weren’t doing something right, I don’t know, but even on our return we couldn’t re-enter that way. Happily we could leave through the kitchen and lock that exit behind us.
We had a modest morning of tourism. We saw the
Aircraft Museum
where a Dalek greeted us as we entered! I always like hearing
Exterminate spoken with emphasis! A focus on helicopters as
agents of search and rescue, and planes colliding with the
mountains which Wales has (it is different being here to
living in Cambridgeshire which is rather flat by comparision).
After a bite to eat in the airport cafe (well patronised)
we then went to
Parc Glynllifon
which had a stately hall in need of TLC, and
extensive grounds where they do forestry. Pleasant place
to stroll through the woods and glades of. I got two
Welsh birthday cards for my friends Alex and Howie.
Supper was a perfectly fine fish and chips from
AllPorts
in Porthmadog. We didn’t order online but it didn’t
take long when we rolled up to order then to wait.
Friendly or not so friendly Dalek
